Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was born in Epsom (Surrey) as the daughter of Josephine Ormond, who works as a laboratory technician , as is John Ormond. She is the fifth of five children born to her parents. She was educated in private schools, at first Guildford High School and then Cranleigh School, where early lead performances in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady began to draw attention. After a year in college in art, she moved to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. Her graduation was in 1988. Ormond was first seen on British television in 1989's serial Traffik. The series was centered on the trade in heroin that was illegal which was carried out from the middle of the East to Europe. Ormond was the addicted daughter of the main character, a Home Office minister in the UK government who was fighting heroin importation. This first appearance earned him rave reviews.
