Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian actor, singer-songwriter and performer. She is mainly involved in Tamil and Malayalam movies. Annayum Rasoolum marked her Malayalam and Tamil debuts in acting. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian background. She was born to an attorney from the Madras High Court attorney. Also, she has a younger sister, who is currently working as a research associate in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah, who was born in Chennai was a student at Chennai National Public School. He was a graduate of Women's Christian College. Andrea was a young classical pianist, who was an avid geek. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style band she was a part of when she was 10, was her foundation for singing and composing music. She also worked as a theatre performer in college. Andrea was President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her theatre career through Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. The actress acted in the new leo commercial for coffee alongside actor Shiva in 2006. She also acted as a actor in a Podhigai's TV serial. The actress has appeared all over India. She had a small role for the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). Gautham V. Menon invited her after she appeared in the film Vettaiyaadu, to perform as a lead character on Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed, with Andrea as Kalyani who is a housewife who's husband is involved in an affair and is threatened with blackmail. Andrea was picked for the role after actors Simran Tabu and Tabu were approached. The film came out in early 2010, It was first released as part of Venkat's Mankatha in 2011, that starred several actors. In 2013 she made her debut in Malayalam cinema with Rajeev Ravi's love movie Annayum Rasoolum.
