Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28, 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts is fourth in the Roberts generation to reside in Atlanta, beginning with her great-grandfather who was a farmer John Pendleton Roberts. Early on, her father began to take an interest in theater. When he was an undergraduate at Emory University, he performed on stage in a number of shows in Atlanta. He joined the military in 1953 and, while stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, was cast in a military production that included Betty Lou Bredemus who was part of the air force. They got married in 1955. Their son, Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. The couple divorced in 1957. the military and Walter enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter began his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter along with Betty Lou began producing a children's TV show in the city of Decatur, Georgia titled Bum Bum and His Buddies. They funded the show their own. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for six years. They were joined by Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) as well as Julia (also known as Julie) at the time.
